Impresso Pro offers a range of features that allow you to turn your photos into stunning paintings. You can combine paint effects with layers and brushes to create gorgeous print-worthy artwork. With the intelligent Smart Layers and brushes, you can seamlessly blend multiple paint styles. The library of Edges offers beautiful blending options with the canvas. The Background Paint effect helps create distance in your artwork, while the Soft Paint effect enhances foreground subjects. The Aged Paint effect adds a unique cracked texture to your paintings. The Tache effect adds an ultra-impressionistic touch by covering your painting with broken brush strokes and dabs of color.

Impresso Pro also offers three Impressionism Paint Effects:

<ol>
 <li>Alla Prima: This wet-on-wet technique is ideal for portraits. It fills your painting with an abundance of brushstrokes and can be enhanced with a variety of artistic finishes.</li>
 <li>En Plein Air: This effect, commonly used for landscapes, consists of eight artists' palettes created by famous impressionists. You can use them as-is or customize the paint colors to create your own palette. Impresso Pro also includes a preset feature that allows you to save your custom palette for future projects.</li>
 <li>Tache: This technique applies broken brushstrokes throughout your painting, creating a textured effect that makes the paint appear to stand out from the surface. You can apply a light spackling of strokes or fill the painting with dabs of color.</li>
</ol>

Impresso Pro's canvas layer adds a realistic canvas texture and enhances your artwork with a painted edge. Additionally, there are several new features that further enhance your creative process:

 <li>The new Soft Paint Effect creates a hard edge when brushed, allowing for greater contrast with surrounding edges. This effect works particularly well for foreground objects.</li>
 <li>The Background Paint Effect helps create a natural and out-of-focus appearance for distant objects and scenery when brushed.</li>
 <li>The Aged Paint Effect introduces cracked paint in a linear or angled fashion, giving you full control over crack color, strength, size, angle, spacing, and sensitivity.</li>
 <li>The Painted Edges feature allows you to create beautifully painted vignettes.</li>
 <li>Add a personalized touch to your image with the Signature Layer feature.</li>
 <li>The new Conform Strokes technology easily adjusts brush strokes using a simple slider, bringing out natural detail while retaining the brushwork.</li>
 <li>The three new Bristle Styles provide extremely free brushwork with high-quality strokes, even up close.</li>
 <li>Impresso Pro also includes 11 new brush styles, offering even more versatility and artistic possibilities.</li>
